    The military provides two options for the use of your Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH). The first option is living on base. Your second option is using your BAH to rent or buy a home off base. We provide you with military friendly information to help you maximize your BAH.

    • NAS Fallon on-base housing is privatized and operated by Lincoln Military Housing (775) 423-9569, which offers 3 communities of 2-4 bedroom single family homes. They are pet friendly and offer community amenities such as tot lots and a fully equiped gym.

    Surrounding Areas
    This area of west central Nevada, near the California border, is well off the beaten path. Fallon is a small city with 8,600 residents just over an hour outside of Reno. The tiny town of Fallon Station is adjacent to base. There are just 705 people living here. Silver Springs (population 5,300) and Fernley (19,400) are both about 40 minutes west of Fallon. They offer housing but, of course, with a slightly longer commute. Though it is remote, the Lahontan Valley does have entertainment and events for its residents and visitors. Opportunities such as ancient petroglyph parks and cave exploring are activities not found in most parts of the U.S. but are a main draw in this area.     About the Installation
    Naval Air Station Fallon is the United States Navy"s air-to-air and air-to-ground training facility. It is home to the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center as well as the TOPGUN program and the Navy SEAL Combat Search and Rescue program. The air station is located near the city of Fallon in Nevada.
